Yeah we all do agree that YouTube rules. In terms of the user-base, no.of videos available, no.of videos being watched, geography, and most importantly the availability of almost anything when you search for it. It has become the video version of Wikipedia integrated with Google. But yeah, the downside is that the Video quality still sucks and the occasional downtime ( for non-US users like me) irritates me to the core. Well Stage6 is closed and so until YouTube launches its High resolution Video upload functionality, we might have to watch out for better alternatives to free Internet Video entertainment. Here are a few really GOOD ONEs. Enjoy. Not in any order whatsoever.
1.Blip.TV:- The link is http://blip.tv. The beauty here is the there is no limit to the video size for upload. It doesn’t support online video editing. One of my favorites are on Blip, and they are Goodnight Burbank. The show is also syndicated on other video sites as well, but unknowingly, I like watching it on Blip.
2.DailyMotion:-The link is http://www.dailymotion.com .Everything is similar to Youtube, only better video streaming. And uploading is a charm.
3.Metacafe:- The link is http://www.metacafe.com It is one of the alternatives which also has a huge collection of viral videos and some extremely funny. If you must know, it has an only 18 section, and yes, you can also earn some bucks if you can churn ‘em out.
4. Veoh:- The link is http://veoh.com Veoh sports extremely good Video quality. It even supports full length movie uploads. Only downside is to download videos or watch the full videos, you need to download the desktop client aka Veoh TV.
5. Zeec:- The link is http://www.zeec.de/ This is a German website. The interface is a mirror image of Last.FM Supports direct upload from webcam, and has a smooth navigation.
6.Vume:-The link is http://www.vume.com/ Vume (pronounced View Me) pays you for uploading content by attaching banner ads etc and sharing the revenues with the uploaders based on the no.of viewers.
7.Brightshack:- The link is http://www.brightcove.com/. It is more of Internet TV and it allows you to create your own internet TV station, right from uploading your content to setting your scheduled time of airing and even syndicate it. Advertising can be enabled which can be converted into revenue.
8.Clipshack:- The link is http://www.clipshack.com Don’t go by its simple interface. This one’s really a killer. Best part, Google Map Tagging. What’s that? Visit the website to know more.
9.GoFish:- The link is http://www.gofish.com/ This is actually one of the early starters. And the USP of GoFish is it is directly meant for people who are not here to share amateur funny videos. This is primarily aimed at directors who want to show off their skills in documentaries, episodes of drama, comedy, sitcoms and even spoofs. This is one of the definitive route to 15 minutes of showbiz fame. Atleast online. The interface

You missed by favourite: imeem.com
Reasons why they’re great
1) No size limits
2) any aspect ratio
3) DVD resolution videos
OK the all have this, but here’s some things that really set imeem apart from the crowd.
4) video playlists, collect all your favourites into a playlist. Instead of embedding 20 different flash objects into your blog post and watching your browser grind to a halt you can collect everything into a single playlists and just insert that.
5) And this really is the killer - imeem lets you upload music too, actually most people know imeem because of this music sharing. People try to upload their favourite tunes to youtube by making a fake video with the music as a soundtrack, but imeem just lets you do that directly.
